Carnegie Mellon University is a private global research university based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Founded in 1900 by Andrew Carnegie as the Carnegie Technical Schools, the university became the Carnegie Institute of Technology in 1912 and began granting four-year degrees. It is a leading computer science, information and technology management, engineering, and information systems institution with a top drama school as well.

A fun fact about the campus: A scene from the movie "The Dark Knight Rises" was filmed at one of their chemistry buildings.
