Founded in 1898 after Columbia University refused to admit women, Barnard College is a private women’s liberal arts college with 2,500 students. Located on the Upper West Side of New York City, Barnard is a particularly special college because it offers both the small liberal arts college experience while being a part of Columbia University, a large ivy-league institution.

Don't miss Midnight Breakfast which occurs at the beginning of finals week! There is themed food in the dining halls to boost student morale for finals.
