MIT Self-Guided Tour

If you are planning a college visit to MIT then you have come to the right page. MIT, based in Cambridge Massachusetts, is home to 4,500 undergraduates and 7,000 graduate students. A top educational and research institution, MIT requires all freshmen to take a swim test (swim 100 yards continuously) or swim class in order to graduate. The Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program (UROP), MIT Innovation Initiative, and the $100K Entrepreneurship Competition are several unique programs offered at MIT. The “mind and hand” philosophy encourages an innovative and entrepreneurial spirit within the community. A Division III school with 33 varsity sports, MIT has a very active intramural program as well.

“Each year, sophomore students design their class ring which is coined “the Brass Rat.”
